Ensconced in a safe space, the turtles are camouflaged against brick and concrete walls in an effort to disguise themselves against the imminent threat to marine life. Looking out to see if they can safely come out and claim their freedom to survive and thrive on this planet, as is their right.
Painstakingly edited and merged the original photographs taken in diverse locations including the River Safari and Fort Canning in Singapore, as well as the seafront in Coolangata along the Gold Coast of Australia. Enhanced with digital brushwork and textures, the resulting artwork is a statement on environmental destruction and our responsibility to preserve natural habitats.
